A Year of Snowflakes

December 31st, 2013 at 03:50 pm

In 2012 I decided to keep track of all of my snowflakes. I am happy to report that I also kept track in 2013. Over the past year my grand total is $3,480!!! I can't believe that I saved almost $3,500 just by keep track of those small amounts that we take for granted. Keep in mind this isn't from money I've earned or worked for but from things like rebates, returns, selling stuff, gifts, etc...

I share this with you as we enter the New Year to encourage you to save those small amounts and watch them add up over time. Small snowflakes do indeed turn into snowballs with time.

My 2014 goal is $4,000 and I'm already at $284 with the 52 Week Savings challenge that I started 1 Dec instead of waiting. I plan on using all snowflakes except $750 for Christmas, to pay down my mortgage.
Here's to more Snowflaking in 2014!!!
