Giving Every Dollar a Job

January 17th, 2010 at 05:34 pm

I recently received my ING bonus for opening an account on Black Friday. I've also already transferred it to my house down payment fund. I know a few of my fellow bloggers also rcvd your bonus, what are you going to do it with? Give those dollars a job and don't just let them sit in your account because I can almost guarantee that the money will be spent before you know it and when you look back, you won't even remember what you spent it on. So just like u took action to set-up the account, take action to put your bonus to work for you.

Woohoo, I just checked my ING account, my bonus posted too! Now let's see how long my $354.08 will last me....it is my allowance (spending for me) account!

Cha-ching (lol) my bonus has posted as well. This is labeled as a/my "freedom" fund. Therefore it is totally being used for anything I so choose to use it for. :-) However, with that being said, I am fairly sure it will be my 2010 Christmas money.

This is such great advice that can lead to huge financial benefit, but I think most people simply won't do it. It's funny, so many people want the insurance of more money in their investments, but when they get some then it is often just easier to spend it on "now." I've done that in the past myself more than a few times...
